Terms of Service

1. Scope

Niche Radar ("the application") is free, open-source software developed by Pavel (GitHub: Inqard) and published under the MIT License at github.com/Inqard/niche-radar. It is distributed as source code only; each creator runs it on their own computer with their own Google Cloud project and API key. There is no hosted service and no account. This website describes the application for transparency and compliance purposes.

2. YouTube API Services

The application uses YouTube API Services. Its operation is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and the YouTube API Services Developer Policies. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy and in the Google Privacy Policy.

3. Data

All YouTube data used by the application is publicly available data retrieved through the official API. YouTube is the source of that data; the developer makes no claim of ownership over it and does not resell or redistribute it.

4. Responsibilities of people who run the application

Whoever runs the application is the operator of their own API project and is responsible for complying with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Developer Policies, including quota limits, the 30-day retention rule implemented in the application, and the requirement not to scrape YouTube or circumvent quotas.

5. No warranty

The software and its reports are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, under the terms of the MIT License. Reports are research estimates for content planning. Figures taken from YouTube are shown as returned by the API; the application's own indices are labelled as its own calculations.
